Our History 

Preferred Medical was formed in 1982 (under the name Midstate Medical) for the purpose of selling and distributing medical supplies and equipment to the nursing home and long term care (LTC) markets in the state of Arkansas. We changed our name to Preferred Medical in 2007 to reflect the company’s national growth and expansion of our product offering and geographic footprint. 

In 2018, we were acquired by NDC, Inc. and continued our growth trajectory. We strengthen our home health offerings by combining combining with Dedicated Distribution and Healthcare Supply Solutions (HSS),  to operate as a unified entity under the name Preferred Medical, An NDC Company.  

Most recently, we welcomed Wolf Medical Supply into the Preferred team, adding their infusion portfolio and exclusive Wolf-Pak® brand to our full offering of post-acute supplies.
